Privacy Policy

Last updated August 12, 2026

What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information Crypto News US collects when you visit this site, how we use it, and the choices you have, consistent with the principles behind the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We built this site to work with minimal data collection by default, and we would rather collect less than more.

Information you provide directly

If you sign up for our newsletter, use our contact form, or pitch us as a contributor, we collect what you enter, typically your email address and any message content, so we can send the newsletter or respond to you. We do not ask for financial account information, wallet seed phrases, or government ID through any of these channels, and you should never send that kind of information to us or anyone else claiming to be us.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers log standard technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps, which we use for security, performance, and understanding aggregate site usage. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate; we do not build individual advertising profiles of visitors to sell to third parties, and we do not sell your personal information. See our Cookies Policy for how cookies and similar technologies fit into this.

How we use information

  • To operate and secure the site, including detecting abuse.
  • To send the newsletter to subscribers who opted in, and to let them unsubscribe at any time.
  • To respond to contact-form messages, tips, corrections requests, and contributor pitches.
  • To understand aggregate traffic and content performance so we can improve the site.

We do not use the information you provide to us to make individualized financial or investment decisions on your behalf, and nothing we collect changes the fact that content on this site is not personalized advice; see our Disclaimer.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited technical information with service providers who help us run the site, such as hosting and email delivery, under the terms necessary to provide those services, and we may disclose information if required by law. We do not share your data with advertisers for cross-site targeted advertising; see our Do Not Sell My Info page for the CCPA-specific opt-out process, which applies regardless because we do not engage in that kind of sale or sharing.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request deletion; see Do Not Sell My Info. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page and describe the request; we will respond as promptly as our small team can manage.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, for example keeping a newsletter subscription until you unsubscribe, or keeping a contact-form message long enough to act on it. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we hold, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Crypto News US is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or applicable law change. We will update the date on this page when we do; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
