Cookies Policy

Last updated August 12, 2026

What cookies are and why we use them

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. Crypto News US uses cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, to run the site properly, remember your preferences, and understand in aggregate how the site is used. We aim to use as few as we reasonably can.

Categories of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies. Required for the site to function: basic navigation, security, and load-balancing. These cannot be turned off without breaking core site functionality, though you can still block them in your browser at the cost of some features not working correctly.
  • Preference cookies and local storage. Used to remember choices such as light or dark theme, and to power features like the on-site watchlist tool, which stores your selections locally in your browser rather than on our servers.
  • Analytics cookies. Used, where enabled, to understand aggregate traffic and content performance, such as which pages are read and roughly how the site is used overall. These are optional and help us improve the site; they are not used to build individualized advertising profiles for sale to third parties.

Your choices

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings, and you can typically choose to block third-party cookies while allowing first-party ones. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working as intended. Because we do not sell personal information or engage in cross-site targeted-advertising sharing, there is no separate advertising-cookie opt-out beyond your browser’s own controls and our Do Not Sell My Info page, which explains the CCPA-specific process.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, lets you view and delete stored cookies and block future ones through its settings or privacy menu. You can generally choose to block third-party cookies while still allowing the site you are visiting to function normally. We do not currently respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common industry standard for how sites should interpret them; your cookie and privacy-preference choices described on this page and our Do Not Sell My Info page are the reliable way to control your experience here.

Third-party cookies

Where the site embeds or links to third-party content, for example an affiliate link or an embedded widget, that third party may set its own cookies subject to its own policy; we do not control those and encourage you to review the relevant third party’s cookie practices directly. See our Affiliate Disclosure for how affiliate links work on this site.

How this fits with our Privacy Policy

This Cookies Policy should be read together with our broader Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect more generally and your rights under GDPR and CCPA principles. If you have questions about a specific cookie or tracking technology on the site, contact us through our contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookies Policy as our practices change. We will update the date on this page when we do, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
