We welcome pitches from knowledgeable, independent writers on US crypto policy, taxes, compliance, markets, exchanges, and education. We are especially interested in contributors who can bring primary-source reporting, direct professional experience (compliance, law, tax, trading, security), or original analysis that goes beyond restating a press release.
What we look for
- Original reporting or analysis. We are not interested in rewrites of other outlets’ work. If your pitch is about a story that has already broken, tell us what new angle, source, or data you bring to it.
- Primary sourcing. For regulatory or policy pieces, that means citing the actual filing, rule, court document, or agency statement, for example SEC EDGAR, CFTC releases, or IRS guidance, rather than a secondhand summary.
- A clear separation of fact and opinion. Reporting states what happened and ties every claim to a source. Opinion and prediction pieces are labeled as such and run in our opinion and market-predictions sections, not disguised as news.
- Plain, specific writing. We would rather publish a shorter piece that says something true and useful than a padded one that says little.
What we do not accept
- Paid placements or “guest posts” presented as independent editorial. Any commercial relationship must be disclosed and will be labeled, never hidden inside a byline.
- Undisclosed promotional content for a specific token, exchange, or project, including content from parties with an undisclosed financial interest in the outcome.
- Fabricated credentials, invented bylines, or stock-photo “author” identities. Contributors are bylined by name only with real, verifiable identities and their own consent.
- Unlabeled price predictions presented as guaranteed outcomes or investment advice. Predictions are opinion and must read as opinion.
How to pitch
Send your pitch, not a finished draft, through our contact page. Tell us the angle, why it matters now, what sources or expertise you bring, and a rough word count. If we are interested, we will follow up with edit and sourcing expectations before you write the full piece. We edit for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to our standards; final publication decisions rest with our editorial team.
Disclosure and conflicts
If you hold a relevant position in an asset, work for a company you are writing about, or have any other financial or professional interest that a reasonable reader would want to know, disclose it to us before we publish and we will disclose it in the piece. This mirrors our own Ethics Policy, and it applies to every contributor regardless of experience level.
Our editorial policy
Crypto News US is a human-edited newsroom. Our team writes, fact-checks, and approves everything we publish; we use AI tools to assist with research and drafting, never to replace human editorial judgment. We do not claim any content is “100% human,” and we do not publish paid or sponsored coverage disguised as editorial. Every contributor is expected to work within that framework.
